Kelvin Alcox has extensive experience in law enforcement, serving as a Police Captain at Hammond Police Department since 2009, where responsibilities include supervising the Community Affairs Division. Prior roles at Hammond Police Department include K9 Handler, Gang Unit Detective, and Patrol Officer, providing a strong foundation in various investigative and patrol duties. Kelvin also worked as a Community Affairs Officer, serving as a liaison between the community and city services. Prior to joining Hammond Police Department, Kelvin served as a K9 Trainer/Supervisor, responsible for training K9 teams, and as a Guest Trainer and K9 Olympic Judge at Vohne Liche Kennels. Educational qualifications include ILEA Recognized Certified K9 Trainer/Instructor and Dual Purpose K9 Handler certifications from Vohne Liche Kennels, alongside foundational education at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and Hammond High School.
