Peter Learmonth has a strong background in systems engineering and technical marketing in the technology industry. Peter started their career with Unisys Corporation in 1988, working as a Systems Engineer for the Unisys Federal Systems in Heidelberg, Germany. Peter was responsible for US Army, Air Force, and NATO projects. In 1995, they transitioned to Unisys as a Technical Marketing Engineer and continued until the year 2000.
In 2000, Peter joined Network Appliance as an SE. Peter worked in this role until 2006, gaining experience in storage and networking technologies.
From 2007 to 2016, Peter worked for NetApp in various roles. Peter started as a Technical Marketing Engineer, where they focused on architecting VMware on NetApp solutions and writing technical papers on related subjects. Peter also served as a Consulting Systems Engineer/Solutions Architect, leveraging their expertise in VMware and storage. Peter presented at industry events and designed VMware on NetApp storage sizing architecture and workflow.
In 2016, Peter moved to Reduxio Systems as a Senior Systems Engineer, contributing until 2018. During their tenure, they played a significant role in the development and implementation of system engineering strategies.
Most recently, Peter joined Hammerspace in 2018 as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they have been actively involved in enhancing system engineering processes and technologies.
Peter Learmonth attended the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada from 1985 to 1987, where they pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering. However, they were unable to complete the program during this period.
