Nelda Chang is a seasoned investment professional currently serving as Principal of Direct Equity at Hamilton Lane since July 2024. With a background in private equity and co-investments, Nelda previously held the position of Principal at GCM Grosvenor from August 2014 to July 2024. Earlier experience includes roles as Associate at Headlands Capital Advisors, LLC, a Summer Associate at Baring Private Equity Asia, and Manager of Business Strategy at First Book. Nelda began a career in finance as an Associate at American Securities Capital Partners and an Analyst in the Leveraged Finance Group at JPMorgan. Academic qualifications include an MBA from The Wharton School and a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from NYU Stern School of Business.
