Sharon drives important advancements in the transformative work now underway at HHS. Known for her effective guidance of complex clinical programs and initiatives, and her engaged leadership style, Sharon is highly-regarded throughout our organization. Her deep knowledge of community care has given momentum to HHSâ strategic direction in population health, and she is known as a collaborative partner both internally and externally among community health partners.
In her past role as VP of Quality and Performance, Sharon was accountable for Patient Safety, Quality Improvement, Patient Experience, Pharmacy and Operational Planning. Most recently, as VP of Community and Medicine and Population Health, Sharon provided executive leadership to the St. Peters, West Lincoln and Juravinski Hospitals and supported the advancement of community based services. She has a Diploma in Nursing from Mohawk College; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McMaster University; a Masters of Public Administration from Queenâs University; and is a graduate of the Rotmans Advanced Health Leadership Program at the University of Toronto. She is also a board member for the Hamilton Council on Aging and the Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence for Canadian Veterans.
