Hazel Herbst is an Associate Consultant at Hamerkop Climate Impacts Ltd since May 2023. Prior to this, Hazel gained substantial experience in the hospitality industry as Senior Floor Staff at The Merry Ploughboy Irish Music Pub Dublin from April 2017 to May 2023, where frequent promotions highlighted reliability, relationship management, and work ethic. Additionally, Hazel served as a Research Intern at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health in early 2022, focusing on qualitative analysis to connect scientific frameworks with policymakers. An internship at Trinity College Dublin involved biodiversity audits and securing funding for sustainability projects, while leadership as Chairperson of the TCD Green Campus Biodiversity Subcommittee included facilitating meetings and report generation. Early career roles included Event Officer for the DU Zoological Society and a Burrito Artist at Zambrero. Hazel holds a Master of Science in Global Change: Ecosystem Science and Policy from University College Dublin and Justus Liebig University Giessen, along with a Bachelor's degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from Trinity College Dublin.
