Sindre Varland has a diverse work experience starting in 2009 as a Salesman at Kyosho, where they worked until 2013. Sindre then joined the Norwegian Armed Forces as an Officer and instructor from 2015 to 2016. In 2017, they joined ION Racing UiS as a Project Engineer and later became the Chief Operations Officer until 2020. During this time, they developed a gearbox for a race car and also served as the driver. In 2019, Sindre Varland joined 1X as a Mechanical Engineer and eventually became the Head of Robot Production and Assembly in 2020.

Sindre Varland completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Stavanger. Sindre attended the university from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they pursued their education at Forsvarets befalsskole from 2013 to 2015, where they completed a degree in Operativ, focusing on Hæren (the Army).
