Will Carruthers is a mechanical engineer who currently works for Hallam-ICS. Will previously worked for Stanford White from May 2017 to June 2021 as a mechanical engineer, and before that, they were an engineering intern for Farnsworth Group, Inc. from June 2014 to April 2017. In their role at Stanford White, they were responsible for mechanical design, load calculation and energy modeling, equipment selection and scheduling, equipment layout, air distribution layout, hydronic piping layout, Revit coordination and modeling, specification editing, RFI review, and submittal review. As an intern at Farnsworth Group, they calculated building heating and cooling loads, designed building mechanical systems, calculated water supply demand for plumbing systems, and designed building waste and drainage systems. Will also transferred information from hand drawn working drawings into Revit. Prior to their work in engineering, they worked as a tube bender for Morton Industries LLC from June 2011 to August 2011.
Will Carruthers has a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering/Building Environmental Systems Design from Milwaukee School of Engineering. Will is certified by the State of North Carolina as a Professional Engineer (PE) and by the State of Illinois as an Enrolled Professional Engineer Intern.
They are on a team with Chris Dunlap - Senior Mechanical Engineer, Dylan Kerkes - Mechanical Engineer, and Kevin Keim - Electrical Designer. Will Carruthers reports to William Neuburger, Director of Engineering.
