Jason Young is a Control Systems Engineer at Hallam-ICS. Jason has also worked as an Electrical Engineer at Brown and Caldwell, and as a PV Installer at Hannah Solar Government Services LLC.
Jason Young started their career as a PV Installer at Hannah Solar Government Services LLC. Jason was part of a small team who help build and install a solar field on one of the USA's most remote island. Their responsibilities included installing the racking system, solar panels, conduit, and wires based on the project blueprints and drawings. Jason completed cable management on the solar panels and wire terminations in combiner and junction boxes. Jason performed continuity testing on wires throughout the site to ensure proper connectivity prior to the commissioning of the site.
After working as a PV Installer, Jason Young became an Electrical Engineer at Brown and Caldwell. As a member of the Arc Flash team, they helped perform Arc Flash Analyses for private clients. Tasks included collecting data in the field, creating single-line diagrams, running studies using SKM PowerTools, compiling reports, reviewing reports written by other Engineers and supporting team members in the field. Jason also aided in Low Voltage and Medium Voltage designs using AutoCAD and Revit.
Currently, Jason Young is working as a Control Systems Engineer at Hallam-ICS.
Jason Young has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Jason also has certification from NABCEP in PV Associate and NCEES in Engineer In Training.
