John Groves is a seasoned law enforcement professional with extensive experience in various roles within the criminal justice system. Currently serving as a Probation Officer for Hall County Government since May 2023, John previously worked as a Police Officer for Alto Police from August 2020 to November 2022 and held the position of Staff Sergeant at Habersham County Sheriff's Office between April 2016 and May 2021. Additional experience includes serving as a Communications Officer for Union County 911 from July 2014 to January 2018 and working as a Correctional Officer for the Georgia Department of Corrections from May 2015 to April 2016. John Groves earned an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Eastern Gateway Community College, completing the program in May 2022.
