Ryan Garnett is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data management, analytics, and product development across various sectors. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Business Solutions at Halifax International Airport Authority since April 2023, Ryan previously held the position of Manager of Data Management Insights & Analytics at Green Shield Canada, where responsibilities included designing a data analytics cloud platform and fostering a data-driven culture. Ryan also contributed to the Canadian Open Data Society as a board member and led product development at GSTS, a start-up focused on maritime safety through AI and big data analytics. Prior roles included Manager of Data Analytics for the City of Toronto, where Ryan championed data governance and modernized operational processes, Product Manager at Sanborn, and Geospatial Data Manager at Lakehead University. Ryan holds a Ph.D. in Geography from McMaster University and multiple degrees in geography and environmental studies.
