James Bishop is an experienced data scientist currently working at Halfords since September 2022, contributing to exploratory data analysis, causal analysis, experimental design, time-series forecasting, and machine learning while also providing training to promote a data-driven culture. Previously, James held roles as Group Data Analyst and Data Coach at Multiverse, where responsibilities included delivering bootcamps on data analytics tools and supervising apprentices. Prior to this, James served as Associate Data Coach and Postdoctoral Research Associate at The University of Sheffield, focusing on integrating solar cells with composite materials, designing experiments, and publishing research. Early in their career, James tutored for The Brilliant Club, engaging with students from underprivileged backgrounds. James holds a PhD in Physics and a Master’s degree from The University of Sheffield.
