Katie Rutledge

Graduate Civil Engineer at Halff

Katie (Bryan) Rutledge has a diverse range of work experiences. Katie (Bryan) started their professional career as a Math Tutor at Benson Union High School from January 2013 to February 2014. After that, they served as the Vice President of Finance at Future Business Leaders of America Arizona from April 2013 to April 2014.

In 2015, Katie worked as a Food Service Worker at Little Caesars Pizza, where they assisted in making pizzas and managing inventory. During the same year, they also worked as an Intern at Rick Engineering Company, where they reviewed plans for errors and assisted with filling out applications and forms.

In 2016, they joined the University of Rhode Island as a Resident Advisor for a duration of three years. In this role, they were responsible for managing 50 residents, implementing programs to create a friendly and supportive community, and being on-call for 500 residents.

Katie gained international experience working as an Intern at Deutsche Bahn in 2018. Katie (Bryan) then worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Technische Universität Darmstadt from October 2017 to February 2018, where they conducted experiments and researched cement foam's mechanical properties.

Katie (Bryan) Rutledge's education history is as follows:

From 2010 to 2014, Katie attended Benson Union High School and obtained their high school degree.

In 2012, they also took dual enrollment classes at Cochise Community College.

Later in 2012 and 2013, they took additional dual enrollment classes at the University of Arizona.

From 2014 to 2019, Katie pursued their Bachelor's Degrees at the University of Rhode Island. Katie (Bryan) obtained a BA in German and a BS in Civil Engineering.

During their time at the University of Rhode Island, from 2017 to 2018, they participated in a non-degree exchange program at Technische Universität Darmstadt, focusing on German and Civil Engineering.

Additionally, Katie has obtained several certifications. In 2016, they became First Aid and AED Certified through the American Red Cross. In 2018, they achieved Engineer in Training (EIT) status through the NCEES. In 2019, they became an Engineer Intern in the state of Arkansas. In 2020, they passed the Professional Engineering (PE) Exam and is currently awaiting the required experience for full certification.
