Brandon Huggett, E.I.T. has a diverse work experience. Brandon began their career as a Graduate Civil Engineer at Halff in June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Air Quality Student Intern at CK Associates Environmental Consultants from March 2023 to May 2023.
During their time at Louisiana State University, Brandon served as a Resident Assistant from August 2021 to May 2023. Additionally, they worked as a Housing Ambassador for Louisiana State University Residential Life from May 2021 to May 2023. In this role, they troubleshooted housing-related issues, ensured a positive experience for students, and assisted other departments.
Before their university experience, Brandon gained valuable leadership skills as an Assistant Manager at SURGE TRAMPOLINE PARK LIMITED from December 2019 to April 2021. Brandon also served as a Team Lead from June 2019 to December 2019, and as a Team Member from September 2017 to June 2019. During their time at SURGE, they created schedules, assisted in advertising and training, supervised cleaning procedures, and trained new staff and management.
In addition, Brandon has interned at Jefferson Parish Government. Brandon worked as an Assistant Federal Programs Coordinator with the Floodplain Management and Hazard Mitigation department from August 2020 to December 2020. There, they performed data entry and maintained communication with homeowners. Brandon also worked as a Summer Intern with the Ecosystem & Coastal Management department from May 2020 to August 2020. In this role, they assisted with data entry and filing, and observed meetings with contractors and government officials on coastal projects.
Brandon Huggett, E.I.T., has a strong educational background in engineering. Brandon began their academic journey at Jesuit High School of New Orleans, where they earned their High School Diploma in 2018. Following this, they pursued higher education at Auburn University in 2018, focusing on Ecological Engineering. However, their time at Auburn was brief as they transferred to the University of New Orleans in 2019. At the University of New Orleans, Brandon's field of study shifted to Civil Engineering. In 2020, they took another significant step in their education by enrolling at Louisiana State University, where they are currently working towards a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Environmental Engineering, which is expected to be completed in 2023.
In addition to their academic achievements, Brandon has obtained two certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Brandon acquired the Engineer In Training (E.I.T.) certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in July 2023. Brandon also successfully completed the FE Exam administered by the NCEES in May 2023.
