Janaki T. has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. Janaki began their career as an Associate (Australia) and Solicitor at Herbert Smith Freehills. In 2014, they took a secondment at Jawun Indigenous Corporate Partnerships as an Empowered Communities Secondee. In 2016, they were a Secondment at Morgan Stanley. In 2017, they became an Associate at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP. From 2018-2020, Janaki T. worked as a Senior Associate at Allens, Westpac, and Appleby. In 2021, they were a Senior Associate at Mourant. Currently, Janaki T. is General Counsel at cargo.one and Hala Systems, Inc.

Janaki T. completed their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons) degree in Law from The University of Western Australia between 2004 and 2010. Janaki then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Janaki'story from the University of Melbourne between 2007 and 2008. Finally, they earned their Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Law from the University of Cambridge in 2011.
