Alex Iturreria is an experienced professional in project management and nonprofit leadership. Currently serving as an Assistant Project Manager at Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco since January 2020, Alex collaborates with a General Contractor on the construction of a mid-rise building in Redwood City, addressing RFIs, submittals, and onsite challenges. Previously, as Executive Director at Shanti Schools from May 2008 to June 2015, Alex communicated with board members to implement organizational vision, secured over $1,000,000 in partnership funding, and led a design team for a K-12 school. In the role of Director of Operations at the same organization, Alex co-founded a mission-based nonprofit, recruited staff and board members, initiated a sustainable social enterprise, and conducted strategic planning sessions. Alex holds a Master's degree in Sustainable Development and International Management from the School for International Training and has a Bachelor's degree in International Studies/Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Arizona. Additionally, Alex studied Mandarin and Chinese Political Economy at Nanjing Normal University.
