In October 2002, Kristian Rauhala founded H2O Audio, Inc. H2O Audio is the leading watersports music company offering performance waterproof headphones and accessories that are designed for swimmers, triathletes, surfers, wakeboarders, kiteboarders and paddlers.

Since the Company’s inception, Rauhala and his team have created and patented a new category of action sport products that has revolutionized watersports, teamed up with world class athletes including pioneering surfer Laird Hamilton and Olympic swimmers Michael Phelps and Natalie Coughlin to endorse its product line, and raised over $6MM in equity financing that has allowed the Company to double its revenue for the past four consecutive years.

Born in Finland, Rauhala moved to the US in 1997. For more than 7 years, he worked in business development and wireless engineering for Nokia. Subsequently, Rauhala worked for Elektrobit Inc. in San Diego, CA as a regional manager.

Mr. Rauhala holds a MS degree in Electrical Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology (Finland) and an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Finance from San Diego State University. In his spare time, Rauhala is an avid surfer and enjoys triathlon.
