Liesbeth van Bergen serves as a staff member in abdominal and digestive surgery at H. Hartziekenhuis Mol, focusing on complex abdominal wall surgeries and various surgical disciplines including functional colorectal surgery and pediatric surgery. Additionally, Liesbeth holds the position of consultant in abdominal and pediatric surgery at UZA and has been an active board member of the Belgian Section for Abdominal Wall Surgery since June 2021, currently serving as General Secretary. With extensive training in robotic surgery and a solid background in various surgical specialties, Liesbeth has a solid educational foundation including Master’s degrees from the University of Antwerp. Volunteer work in Ghana for Operation Hernia further highlights Liesbeth's commitment to global health initiatives.
