Jason Weitzel is an accomplished application security engineer with extensive experience in cybersecurity and software development. Currently serving as Principal Application Security Engineer at H-E-B since November 2021, Jason previously held the position of Lead Application Security Engineer. Prior to H-E-B, Jason worked at Booz Allen Hamilton from June 2015 to November 2021 as a Solutions Architect, where responsibilities included mentoring a team of approximately 50 engineers in DevSecOps best practices. Jason also served as a Cyber Threat Analyst and Software Engineer, leading cyber risk assessments for Air Force clients. Earlier in their career, Jason was a Senior Information Assurance Engineer at Lockheed Martin, supporting multiple Air Force clients and leading teams of up to 30 members in agile processes. Jason holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from CollegeAmerica.
