Justin Henderson has been in the information security industry since 2005. In that time, they have held various roles in the field. In 2005, they were a Network Administrator at Bonutti Clinic. In 2006, they were a Network Engineer at First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust, where they designed and implemented a custom centralized security system. In 2007, they were a System Administrator at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, where they were in charge of the Windows environment, including server clusters, exchange, DNS, and active directory servers. In 2008, they were a Systems and Security Architect at Heartland Dental, where they used innovative technologies and industry frameworks and standards to help support and scale the business. In 2014, they became a Senior Instructor and Course Author at SANS Institute. Finally, in 2016, they became the Founder and CEO of H & A Security Solutions, a provider of information security consulting, managed and co-managed services for intrusion detection and logging, penetration testing, and assessments such as process and skill assessments.

Justin Henderson has an extensive educational background. In 2006, they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) from Western Governors University in Network Design and Management. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from Lake Land Community College in Network Administration in 2006. Justin has also obtained numerous certifications, including Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in 2013, ITIL Expert from EXIN in 2013, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from ISACA in 2013, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2012, and Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server 2008 from Microsoft in 2009.
