Suresh Babu

VP Engineering - Continuous Improvement at GXO

Suresh Babu has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies. Starting in 2004 at Panasonic Automotive Systems, they worked as a Sr. Industrial Engineer, playing a key role in transforming production methodologies through Lean Implementation. Suresh also led multiple model family launches and achieved the company's vision of becoming the top supplier for key customers.

In 2009, Suresh joined Superior Essex as an Engineering Manager, where they were responsible for envisioning and implementing a new manufacturing facility and overseeing engineering, maintenance, quality, continuous improvement activities, and product costing.

From 2014 to 2016, Suresh took on the role of Director of Manufacturing at SCP Limited, where they led all aspects of manufacturing operations and reported directly to the VP & COO. Suresh focused on design-to-mass production, manufacturing costs, process improvements, engineering, and quality.

In 2016, Suresh joined XPO Logistics, Inc. where they held various roles, including Sr. Manager Solutions Engineering and Director Solutions Engineering. In these positions, they led teams supporting global operations, developing process and reporting solutions, implementing game-changing technologies, and standardizing global processes for key accounts.

Currently, Suresh serves as the VP Engineering - Continuous Improvement at GXO Logistics, Inc. Since 2019, they have been leading engineering support and continuous improvement for the Consumer Division of GXO North America. Suresh'steam of industry experts offers support throughout the customer relationship, from solutions to ongoing operations, for brands worldwide.

Suresh Babu completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kerala between 1995 and 1999. Suresh then pursued a Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech between 2001 and 2003. Suresh also holds additional certifications in Six Sigma Green Belt from Kennesaw State University and Value Stream Mapping from LEI.
