Ed Klotz has worked in the field of mathematical optimization since 1988. Ed began their career as a Software Developer at Ketron Management Science in 1988. In 1991, they moved to CPLEX Optimization, Inc. as a Mathematical Programming Specialist. In 1997, they joined ILOG as a Principal Technical Support Engineer. In 2009, they began working at IBM as a Mathematical Programming Specialist/L3 Support, CPLEX R&D. In 2020, they joined Gurobi Optimization as a Senior Mathematical Optimization Specialist.
Ed Klotz obtained a B.A. in Math and Economics from Oberlin College between 1978 and 1982. Ed then went on to Stanford University, where they earned an M.S. and Ph.D. in Operations Research between 1982 and 1988.
