Nathan Dahl has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and development. Nathan started their career as a Network Administrator/Programmer at Rapit Printing in 1995, where they worked until 2009. During this time, they gained experience in managing networks and developing programs.
In 2009, Nathan transitioned into web development and joined a consulting firm as a Web Developer. Here, they designed, developed, and maintained several Saas database-driven applications using LAMP technologies and frameworks such as CSS, HTML 5, JQuery, Bootstrap, and PHP.
In 2010, Nathan took on the role of a Software Engineer at Container Graphics Corporation. Nathan was responsible for helping employees learn various technologies such as Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, CSS, and JQuery. Nathan also worked with a team to create a web-based automated estimating, graphics creation, pre-flight files, asset management, reporting, and billing system using DB2, Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP. Additionally, Nathan designed and developed an internal programming framework that allowed multiple servers to access data as one single entity.
From 2013 to 2015, Nathan worked as a DATA SPECIALIST/SR SOFTWARE ENGINEER at CrossUSA and MarketShare. Nathan was involved in designing and converting a PHP application that allowed business intelligence programmers to automate checking data stacks through a web interface. Nathan utilized technologies such as Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, SAS/IntrNet, and Yii framework.
In 2015, Nathan joined The Nerdery as a Software Engineer, where they interacted with customers during pre-sales and UX phases of the project cycle. Nathan led project teams, set team member expectations, verified deliverables, reviewed code, and managed deployment cycles. Nathan also played a role in architecting legacy conversion plans, converting ad hoc code to object-oriented structures.
Currently, Nathan is working at Guns.com as a Lead Engineer, starting from 2018.
Nathan Dahl attended Anoka Technical College from 1999 to 2001, where they pursued an AAS degree in Programming. Following this, they enrolled at the Minnesota School of Business, completing their studies in 2013. There, they obtained a BAS degree in Web Application Developer.
