Laura Puckett Daniels currently serves as a County Commissioner for Gunnison County since January 2023. With an extensive background in education and coaching, Laura has been the Head Cross-Country and Track Coach at Crested Butte Community School since February 2009, while also teaching English at various grade levels during that time. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Marketing and Development for Crested Butte Nordic, where Laura managed communications and fundraising efforts, and as Deputy Director for the Crested Butte Mountain Bike Association, handling memberships and events. Laura was also a Wilderness Trip Leader at YMCA Camp Widjiwagan and completed a Fulbright Scholarship focused on poetry translation. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Education from Western Colorado University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Davidson College.
