William Sands is a Full Stack Software Engineer at Gumband since June 2022 and currently serves as a Substitute Horn for both the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra and THE SYRACUSE ORCHESTRA. With prior experience as a Substitute Horn for the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and various roles in software development, including a Full Stack Developer at Globally Unified Air Quality, William led the creation of a cross-platform mobile application for air quality monitoring. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Music from Eastman School of Music and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Rochester, where William graduated with the highest distinction. Currently pursuing a Master’s of Music in French Horn Performance at Yale University, William also has experience as a Teaching Assistant and has interned with notable companies such as Deeplocal, IAM Robotics, and Maven Machines.
