Mike Welch is a skilled Plant Control Operator at Gulf Power Company, with over 14 years of experience in power generation operations, specifically focusing on control of power-generating equipment. Since February 2009, Mike has managed operations for generating units and scrubbers, ensuring effective performance of boilers, turbines, and generators. Prior to this role, Mike worked at International Paper from January 1997 to January 2009, where responsibilities included the development of Basic Care processes for Pulp Mill equipment and overseeing maintenance procedures. Mike earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Power Plant Technology from Bismarck State College between 2009 and 2011.
