Nick Smith has a strong background in operations and management. Nick started their career as an Operations Manager at the Western Institute for Neurodevelopmental Studies and Interventions, where they directed a team and managed finances and employee relations. Nick then worked at Sirius XM Radio Inc. in recruitment and organizational development, where they researched leadership competencies and placed interns. Following that, they were a Simulation Training Developer at Sandra Hartog and Associates, developing web-based assessments and training simulations. In 2009, they joined CleanEdison as an Operations Manager, where they sourced and hired individuals, structured roles and responsibilities, and improved the payroll system. Most recently, they have been working at Guidepoint, starting as a Research Project Manager and progressing to Executive Vice President and Head of the Boston office. In this role, they managed teams, serviced clients, and developed new workflow procedures to outperform competitors.
Nick Smith has a Master's degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. Nick also pursued postgraduate study in Psychology at the University of Colorado Boulder. Additionally, it is known that Nick attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges, but their degree and field of study during their time there are unknown.
