Ryan Owens has worked in the field of software engineering and healthcare systems analysis for several different companies. In 2004, they began working as a Software Engineer III at Public Consulting Group, where they stayed until 2013. Ryan then joined Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System as a Systems Analyst II for Strategic Systems in 2013. Most recently, in 2017, Ryan took on the role of AI/NLP Manager at Guardian Research Network.

Ryan Owens attended the University of North Carolina Asheville from 2000 to 2004, where they pursued a degree in Information Systems with a specialization in Computer Programming. Prior to that, in 1999 and 2000, they briefly attended Gardner-Webb University, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study.
