Cynthia Colon has a diverse work experience in various industries. Cynthia began their career as a Production Assistant at Spanish Broadcasting System in 2001 and then worked as a Publicity Intern at Sony Music Entertainment in 2002. Cynthia also provided Mun2 Marketing Support at NBCUniversal, Inc. in the same year. In 2003, Colon worked as a Community Outreach Officer and Newsletter Writer for the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration. Cynthia then served as a Program Assistant at Univision Radio in 2004. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Marketing Director at LOWER EAST SIDE PEOPLE'S FEDERAL CREDIT UNION. Colon was a Business Staff Reporter at Casiano Communications from 2009 to 2013. Cynthia then joined IQPC Exchange as a Program Director & Conference Producer from 2013 to 2014. Colon also worked as a Marketing Communications Consultant at a Communications Contractor from 2011 to 2015. In 2014, they started working at GTE Financial, where they held various roles. Cynthia began as a Marketing Communications & Public Relations Specialist and then progressed to roles like Multicultural & Communications Manager, Senior Manager - Multicultural & Inclusion, Assistant Vice President - Multicultural Inclusion Strategy, and currently serves as the Assistant Vice President - Marketing & Impact.
Cynthia Colon's education history begins in 1999 when they enrolled at Hunter College and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Film & Media Studies until 2003. In 2005, Cynthia obtained a certification in Linguistics and Puerto Rican Studies from Universidad de Puerto Rico.
In 2006, they attended Hunter College again, this time obtaining a certificate in Paralegal studies.
More recently, Cynthia pursued a Certification in Diversity and Inclusion at Cornell University from 2020 to 2021, and in May 2021, they obtained the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education.
