Ned Gardiner, PhD, currently serves as Program Manager for the Climate Smart Communities Initiative at NOAA, overseeing the Climate Ready Workforce. With extensive experience at CollabraLink Technologies, Inc. since October 2008, Ned is a principal architect of the U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit and manages various aspects of video production including writing, editing, and data visualizations. As a Research Associate within the American Museum of Natural History’s Department of Ichthyology, Ned provides expertise in biodiversity and geospatial data visualization while also pioneering the use of satellite data in educational video production. Previous roles include Engagement Manager and Climate Visualization Project Manager at NOAA, co-founding the Worldviews Network, and serving as a Geospatial Data Analyst at the University of Georgia. Academic credentials include a PhD in Ecology, two Master's degrees in Geography, and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Environmental Studies.
