Tami Parker has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Most recently, they worked at Grow Progress as the Director of People starting in 2022. Prior to that, Tami worked at Glymph Consulting, LLC as a Senior Consultant - People Operations from October 2021 to December 2022, where they supported movement-focused non-profits with full People and Culture support.
From 2015 to 2021, Tami held several roles at Americares. Tami started as a Manager of Recruitment and Talent Support, overseeing recruitment efforts and creating comprehensive onboarding programs. Tami then became an Associate Director of Human Resources, leading recruitment and onboarding efforts for 70 employees globally. Tami was later promoted to Director of Talent Management, where they supported the creation of a field office in Colombia and initiated the reevaluation of the staff handbook. Finally, they served as the Vice President of Talent Management, leading the HR team during a transition period and overseeing all HR functions during the pandemic.
Prior to their time at Americares, Tami worked at Colorado HealthOP in various HR roles from 2013 to 2015. Tami started as a Community Outreach Manager, developing a community engagement program and managing outreach teams. Tami then became a Training and Development Manager, designing and facilitating organization-wide training programs. Tami also served as an HR Business Partner, supporting departments with their HR needs.
In 2013, Tami briefly worked as the Colorado State Coordinator at Organizing for Action, where they developed and implemented campaigns focused on immigration reform, gun violence prevention, and climate change.
Before that, they worked at the Presidential Inaugural Committee in 2012 as the Colorado State Lead, organizing a national Day of Service and collaborating with local nonprofit organizations and volunteers for the President's inauguration.
Tami began their career at Organizing for America in 2011, first as a Regional Field Director and later as a Deputy Field Director. Tami managed field staff, organized volunteer events, and coordinated presidential rallies in Denver and Jefferson County.
Additionally, Tami has experience in political campaigns, including working as a Field Organizer for Mejia for Mayor in 2011 and the Colorado United - Senator Bennet's Campaign in 2010.
Before entering the political and non-profit sectors, Tami worked as a Graduate Intern at the National Association of Social Workers - Colorado Chapter, where they participated in the official sunset planning process for the Mental Health Statute in Colorado and collaborated with professional organizations and regulatory agencies.
Throughout their career, Tami has demonstrated a strong background in HR and people operations, as well as experience in community outreach, campaign organization, and training and development.
Tami Parker holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Denver, which they obtained from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from James Madison University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Alongside their academic qualifications, Tami also has obtained additional certifications such as "Hiring Your Team" and "Human Resources: Running Company Onboarding" from LinkedIn in January 2018.
