Daniel Mekinda has a wide range of experience in the entertainment industry. Daniel started their career as an International Consultant for Jololi/Xippi/Youssou N'Dour in 2003. In 2002, they worked for BMG - The New Music Company as an A&R and International representative, as well as a Publicist and Artist Relations representative. From 2004 to 2006, they became a Partner, Creative Development & Client Relations at Anthem Entertainment Group. In 2006, they established their own company, Nice68 Inc., where they served as President and Owner, providing consulting services in intellectual property and asset creation and management. From 2006 to 2014, they were also the Owner/Managing Partner of the boutique entertainment company, tanjola. In 2015, they became the Managing Director, Canada at The Story Lab, responsible for overseeing all initiatives and leading new business efforts. Daniel then joined dentsu international in 2020 as the Head of Global Partnerships & Sales, where they focused on creating value and launching sales and marketing capabilities. Most recently, in 2022, they worked as the Executive Producer of the Montreux Jazz Festival, overseeing the global streaming effort. In 2023, they joined GroupM Motion Entertainment Canada as the EVP and Head of the company.
