Michael Walsh is a seasoned professional in the fields of decarbonization and environmental science, currently serving as a Founding Partner at Groundwork Data since July 2022. Previously, Michael held the position of Senior Associate at Cadmus, where oversight included notable projects such as the Massachusetts 2050 Decarbonization Roadmap. As a Senior Research Scientist and Research Assistant Professor at Boston University, leadership was demonstrated in the Carbon Free Boston Initiative. Earlier experiences include research on the economic and environmental impacts of algal products at Bentley University, as well as groundbreaking work in chemical oceanography during a Ph.D. candidacy at Cornell University. Michael's academic journey includes a Doctorate from Cornell University and an AB in Chemistry from Colby College.
