Scott Massey

Founder and CEO at GroPod

Scott Massey has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Scott is the Founder and CEO of anuâ„¢ (previously gropod), where they designed and created an aeroponic appliance capable of producing daily servings of leafy greens and herbs. Scott managed a team to develop a computer vision AI system for real-time adaptability. Scott also raised funding for prototype development and patent expenses.

Scott has been involved with the Mandela Washington Fellowship, sponsoring the development of hydroponic farms in Africa and organizing educational seminars to promote STEM education and employment opportunities in resource-scarce areas.

At Purdue University, Scott worked as a Graduate Research Mechanical Engineer, designing and manufacturing an automated hydroponic plant growth chamber for NASA. Scott also served as a Teaching Assistant.

As a Project Intern at Moss & Associates Construction Company, Scott managed the construction of government housing units, overseeing subcontractors and tracking progress. Scott also had a summer internship at Separation By Design, where they created mechanical and electrical schematic drawings and coordinated material orders.

Scott owned and operated Massey Lawn Care, providing landscaping, snow removal, and home renovation services. Scott hired independent contractors when expansion was needed. Scott briefly worked as a Car Wash Technician at Lucas Oil Products and had a summer internship at Massey Law Offices, LLC.

Scott Massey completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology/Technician from Purdue University, where they attended from 2013 to 2017. Before that, they received Academic Honors from Reitz Memorial High School, where they studied from 2009 to 2013.
