Nikolaos Bakas is a seasoned professional in the field of data science and engineering, currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at GRNET - Greek Research & Technology Network since November 2022. Bakas has a robust academic background, holding a Ph.D. in Engineering Optimization, a Master's Degree in Computational Mechanics, and an Engineer's Degree in Civil Engineering, all from the National Technical University of Athens. Prior to the current role, experiences include positions as an Associate Research Scientist at The Cyprus Institute and Lecturer at Neapolis University Pafos, along with roles in engineering software development and analysis across several companies from 2005 to 2020.
