John Laughlin has extensive work experience in the technology and energy industries. John started their career as a Senior Product Manager at M2M communications in 2009. John then became the General Manager before the company was acquired by EnerNOC in 2011. At EnerNOC, John served as the Director of Field Operations and later as the Director of Utility Product Strategy (Product Management). In 2017, they joined Enel X as the Director of Product Management and was later promoted to Senior Director of Product. In 2022, John held the role of Vice President of Product (ad interim) at GridUnity before moving on to become the Chief Technology Officer at Polaris Energy Services and Gridtractor.

John Laughlin has completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Northwest Missouri State University. John has also obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Management and Strategic Marketing from Boise State University.
