Kris Clark

Kris Clark has extensive experience in the field of biology and research. They have held various roles in different companies and institutions throughout their career. Currently, Kris is the Head of Biology at Grey Wolf Therapeutics since 2023. Before that, from 2021 to 2023, they worked as the Director of Kinase Biology at Exscientia. From 2019 to 2021, Kris was a Principal Scientist at Sygnature Discovery, and from 2016 to 2019, they held the position of Senior Scientist at the same company. Prior to that, Kris worked as an Independent Investigator at the MRC Protein Phosphorylation and Ubiquitylation Unit, University of Dundee, from 2014 to 2016. From 2009 to 2014, they served as a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at the same institution, where they made various significant contributions, including the discovery of novel strategies for treating inflammation and identifying biomarkers for TBK1/IKKi activity. Before that, from 2007 to 2009, Kris was an EMBO Long-Term Fellow at the MRC Protein Phosphorylation and Ubiquitylation Unit, where they focused on the study of TBK1 and IKKi function and their potential as targets for treating cancer. Kris started their career as a Junior Researcher at NCMLS, Radboud University Nijmegen, where they conducted research on TRPM7 and its role in cancer cell adhesion and migration. They also identified a diagnostic signature for cancer progression during this time. Kris began their professional journey as a Research Technician at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) in 2001.

Kris Clark has a BSc degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry from Concordia University, Canada, which was earned from 1993 to 1997. Following that, Kris completed an MSc in Molecular Biology from the Université de Montréal, Canada, from 1997 to 1998. Kris then pursued an MPhil in Medical Sciences from JCSMR, Australian National University, Australia, from 1998 to 2000. Finally, Kris obtained a PhD in Medical Sciences from Radboud University Nijmegen, Netherlands, spanning from 2002 to 2007.
