Virginie Rachmuhl has extensive experience in urban development and social policies, currently serving as Responsable de programmes urbains at GRET since August 2001, where responsibilities include project management and social development in cities across the Global South. In addition to this role, Virginie Rachmuhl has been an Enseignante associée at l'école d'urbanisme de Paris at Université Gustave Eiffel since September 2018, focusing on urbanism and international expertise in southern cities. Prior to these positions, Virginie Rachmuhl worked as a consultant at ACT Consultants from July 1994 to August 2001, and coordinated the RESOL network for social economy expertise from January 1999 to December 2000. Educational qualifications include a DESS in Urban Planning from Université Paris-Sorbonne, a Magistère in Applied Social Sciences from Université Paris V René Descartes, and a DEUG in Communication and Media Studies from CELSA Paris-Sorbonne.
