Garth Schulz has held various leadership roles throughout their career. Garth is currently working as the COO & CFO at Segmed, Inc., a company that provides de-identified medical data and images to medical AI developers and life sciences innovators. Prior to this, they were the Chief Business Officer and EVP at Greffex, Inc., where they were responsible for corporate strategy and raising capital in the vaccine biotech industry. Garth also served as a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan from 2018 to 2020. Before that, Garth Schulz founded and served as CEO of Ridge Street Consulting and Castle Advisory Company, where they provided corporate finance advisory services. Garth received the 2017 Deal of the Year Award for Southeast from the Bond Buyer for their work in advising hospitals on debt issuances, escrows, and derivatives. Additionally, they worked as a Managing Director at Barclays Investment Bank and Merrill Lynch, where they held leadership positions in investment banking and muni capital markets origination. Garth began their career as a Legislative Assistant for US Senator Richard C Shelby. Garth Schulz has a strong background in finance, strategy, and leadership.
Garth Schulz has a diverse education history. From 1984 to 1988, they attended Washington and Lee University and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in European History. In 1992, they briefly studied International Marketing at Georgetown University. Later, from 1994 to 1996, Schulz attended the University of San Francisco School of Management and earned an MBA degree with a focus on Finance. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: the Series 63 from FINRA in September 2018 and the Series 79 from FINRA in August 2018.
