Lou Buis serves as a Labor Relations Administrator at GreenSlate since December 2022. Previous experience includes working as an English Second Language Tutor at the University of Michigan English Language Institute, where Lou managed conversation circles and adapted teaching methods during the global health crisis. Additionally, Lou was a Program Manager and Event Coordinator for the University of Michigan Adventure Leadership Team, creating custom programs to achieve group objectives. As an Honors Linguistics Researcher, Lou designed and executed a novel experiment on non-native speech perception and wrote an honors thesis based on the findings. Early career involvement also includes serving as a Library Clerk at the University of Michigan, providing customer service and managing library circulation. Lou holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from the University of Michigan, completed in 2020.
