Richard Mak has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and industries. Richard started their career in 1993 as a Delivery Engineer at Teledata Hong Kong, where they implemented various technology solutions. Richard then worked as a Network Engineer at Hutchison Telecoms Hong Kong, where they deployed wireless messaging infrastructure and applications. In 1996, they joined Bell Mobility as a Development Engineer, managing wireless messaging and services within the Bell CDMA network.

Richard later joined Sema Group as a Technical Sales Consultant, providing global presales technical support and consulting in wireless messaging solutions. Richard then moved to SchlumbergerSema, where they worked as a Product Manager, managing global messaging product features and roadmap.

In 2001, Richard joined Airwide Solutions as a Program Manager, responsible for supporting customer programs in the Americas and managing solution delivery. Richard then moved to Bell, where they held various roles, including Senior Manager in Technical Architecture and Customer Intelligence, and Director of Artificial Intelligence. During their time at Bell, they led initiatives such as data mesh transformation and cloud data migration.

In 2024, Richard joined GreenShield as the Director of Data Engineering & Operations.

Richard Mak obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from The University of Hong Kong, from 1991 to 1993. Richard also holds a certification in Developing Executive Presence from LinkedIn.
