Shirley Chen has a diverse work experience spanning over different companies and roles. Shirley started their career as an Investing Intern at Titanium Realty Group in 1994 and later joined Greenland Holdings as an Assistant to the Manager in 2001, where they worked on a mix-use skyscraper project and communicated with stakeholders about project progress. In 2005, they served as the Chairman of the Board at Shenzhen Zhumeng Engineering Design Co., Ltd. Chen then returned to Greenland Holdings in 2008 as a Manager of Project Management, where they organized sales events and helped exceed sales targets. Finally, they joined Greenland USA in 2014 as Vice President of Marketing, overseeing budgeting, event organization, and fire safety and security.

Shirley Chen obtained a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management and Engineering Economics from Zhejiang University, which they attended from 1993 to 1996. In 2017, they participated in the Visiting Students Programme at the University of Oxford, focusing on Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE). Additionally, Shirley has obtained certifications in Green Belt - Six Sigma from Seta - Desenvolvimento Gerencial in 2017 and Strategic Planning Certification from PROMINP - PETROBRAS/CEFET in 2012.
