Shawn Palmer possesses extensive experience in leadership within the publishing and media sectors, currently serving as Publisher for the Daily Hampshire Gazette, Greenfield Recorder, and Athol Daily News since January 2021. Prior to these roles, Shawn held the position of General Manager, Digital at BDN for a brief period, overseeing digital advertising and audience development. As Chief Revenue Officer at both D2 Media Solutions and The Day Publishing Company, Shawn focused on revenue growth, product development, and operational leadership. Additionally, Shawn served as President of the Connecticut Daily Newspapers Association, advocating for the newspaper industry at the state legislature. Previous roles include advisory board membership at Homebase Digital and senior executive positions at Record-Journal and The Westerly Sun, emphasizing digital transformation in traditionally print-focused environments. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Business Studies from Providence College and an MBA in Marketing from Seton Hall University.
