Michael Courtney

Brand Director, Retail Marketing at Green Thumb Industries

Michael Courtney has a diverse work experience in marketing, branding, and business innovation. Michael started their career at Procter & Gamble, where they held various roles including Senior Brand Manager for Bounty Paper Towels, Analytics and Insights Manager for Walmart, and Analytics and Insights Associate Manager for Global Brand Equity. During their time at Procter & Gamble, they also served as a Product Owner for New Business Innovation, where they applied lean startup principles to test and improve the distribution of P&G products direct-to-consumers.

After leaving Procter & Gamble, Michael joined Farmer's Fridge as a Merchandising and Digital Marketing Lead. Michael worked on growth, digital marketing, and merchandising strategies to enhance customer lifetime value and maximize purchase value and profit margins.

Following their experience at Farmer's Fridge, Michael worked at Rōti as the Director of Marketing. In this role, they were responsible for customer acquisition and retention across various channels, including brick-and-mortar, website, mobile app, and third-party delivery platforms. Rōti is a venture capital/private equity-backed restaurant chain that focuses on providing healthy meal solutions within the quick-service restaurant category.

Most recently, Michael joined Green Thumb Industries (GTI) as the Brand Director for Retail Marketing. This role involves overseeing the marketing strategy and initiatives to promote the brand and drive sales in the retail sector.

Michael Courtney attended Indiana University - Kelley School of Business from 2010 to 2014. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Economic Consulting.
