Tod Plotkin has a wealth of experience in the media industry. In 2006, they worked as a Morning Producer for The Washington Post, booking and overseeing on air content for the morning program on Washington Post Radio. Tod also booked TV hits for Washington Post reporters and editors on various networks. That same year, they began working as a Producer for Washington Sports & Entertainment, producing video content for the NBA Washington Wizards. In 2008, they founded Green Buzz Agency, specializing in premium video production for well-known brands and large media companies. In 2010, they founded What's Next DC, an organization that hosts the largest marketing conference in the DC area.

Tod Plotkin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from The George Washington University, majoring in Marketing and International Business.
