Gareth Edwards is an experienced Programme and Project Manager currently serving as the Programme Manager for Te Mana o Te Wai and Whaitua Implementation at Greater Wellington Regional Council since July 2021. With a diverse background, Gareth has worked as a self-employed contractor providing programme and project management services since January 2017. Prior positions include Project Manager roles at Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities and the Ministry for the Environment, as well as Senior Project Manager positions at the Ministry of Health and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, where responsibilities encompassed business transformation and key project management. Gareth's extensive skill set is supported by multiple certifications in project management methodologies, including MSP, PRINCE2, and AgilePM, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Canterbury.
