Kirby Childs has extensive experience in the food industry, having held various roles in quality assurance, food safety, research and development, and product innovation. Kirby began their career in 2003 as a Food Safety Manager at Sun Land Beef/JBS Tolleson and then moved on to work as a Product Development Manager at OSI Industries. In 2011, Kirby joined Lopez Foods, Inc as the Director of Product Innovation and later served as the Director of Research and Development at Albertville Quality Foods. Kirby then took on the role of Senior Director of Research and Development at OK Foods Inc. In 2019, Kirby became the Vice President of Food Safety and Technical Services at Foundation Food Group before transitioning to the position of Vice President of Quality Assurance and Technical Resources at Greater Omaha Packing Co., Inc.
Kirby Childs earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1997. Kirby then pursued a Master's degree in Food Science at Oklahoma State University from 1997 to 2000. Kirby'seducational journey culminated in a Doctorate in Animal Science-Meat Science from Colorado State University, where they studied from 2000 to 2005.
