Melissa Duplantier

Donor Relations Officer at Greater New Orleans Foundation

Melissa Duplantier serves as the Donor Relations Officer and is excited about connecting their philanthropic partners to the tools, resources, and support needed to help them support the causes they care deeply about to help them meet their giving goals.

A firm believer in building brands by empowering and elevating the voices of their stakeholders – especially those of the communities they serve, Melissa served as the associate director of marketing and communications at Ursuline Academy and the director of marketing and public relations at St. Augustine High School.

Melissa has long held an interest in nonprofit and humanitarian organizations’ work and impact, from grassroots community organizations to those working on an international level. Her career includes service as director of public affairs for the American Red Cross Louisiana Region, executive director of the American Red Cross St. Bernard Chapter, and American Red Cross Hurricane Recovery Community Outreach Specialist.

A native of New Orleans, Melissa has a Master of Science Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University, a Bachelor’s Degree in media arts from Tulane University, and a professional certification in event planning and marketing from the University of New Orleans.

When she isn’t working, you’ll find Melissa reading, enjoying the vibrant New Orleans arts scene, and spending time with her husband and their dog Jax.
