Leighton Smith, JD MBA, currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer at GreatAmerica Financial Services, where responsibilities include identifying growth opportunities and fostering innovative ideas within a client-centered culture. Leighton is also a member of Climbing Kites, focused on social alternatives, and has been on the Board of Advisors for West Bank since January 2016. As an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Iowa's Henry B. Tippie College of Business since 2012, Leighton teaches undergraduate courses in wealth management and banking. Previous roles include Director of Business Advisory Services and Shareholder at BerganKDV, Vice President of Wealth Management at US Bank, and Trust Officer at Hills Bank and Trust Company. Educational credentials include a JD from the University of Iowa College of Law and an MBA from the Tippie College of Business.
