Richard Fitzpatrick is a Substation Engineer at Great River Energy, focusing on cyber security and HVDC since October 2016. Prior to this role, Richard served as an Electrical Engineer at Interstates, where responsibilities included the design of power systems for industrial facilities. Earlier experience includes serving as a Team Director and Missionary for The Fellowship of Catholic University Students, where leadership and team coordination were key components. Richard also gained practical skills through roles as a sheep shearer and in various internships, including positions at Xcel Energy and Interstates, where exposure to electrical engineering and safety protocols was obtained. Richard holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from South Dakota State University, completed in 2014.
