Joy Hills has worked in various roles since 2012. Joy began as Program Coordinator at Concordia University Ann Arbor in 2012 and then moved to Administrative Coordinator at Domino's in 2014. In 2017, they became Program Coordinator for Economic Development at the City of Kalamazoo. In 2019, they took on two roles, General Manager of The Foundry at Treystar and Podcaster for Retired Racehorse Radio at Horse Radio Network. Most recently, Joy Hills has been working as Client Service Manager at Great On The Job since 2021.

Joy Hills received a Master of Science in Instructional Design & Technology from Concordia University Chicago in 2019. Joy previously obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature/Letters from Concordia University Ann Arbor in 2014. Additionally, they have two certifications: "Become an L&D Professional" from LinkedIn obtained in November 2022, and "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers" from LinkedIn obtained in February 2022.
